Pillar of Jinjoi river bridge collapsed again, administration stopped traffic

Palamu, 6 August (HS). Villagers are frightened due to the collapse of the pillar of the bridge built on Jinjoi river in Kaswakhand of Nawajaypur police station area of ​​the district. The police administration has banned the movement of heavy vehicles. This bridge connects many villages of Mahulia Panchayat and Kaswakhand Panchayat. About five thousand people travel through this bridge.

Villagers said that this bridge was constructed in 2013-14 and was inaugurated by former MLA Sudha Chaudhary. Two to three months after the inauguration, a pillar collapsed in the first rains. After continuous news about it was published in newspapers and channels, the pillar was lifted by the contractor by getting a machine from Kolkata, but the pillar has collapsed again in this year's rains.

Villagers said that since the ban on traffic on the bridge has disrupted the children's education. Earlier a school bus used to ply, but now its operation has also been stopped.
