PIL filed over danger from high voltage wire above nursing home


Prayagraj, June 18 (HS). The Allahabad High Court has given time to the government advocate to provide complete information on the public interest litigation filed demanding the closure of a private nursing home located in Sahadatpur of Mau district due to the danger to the lives of patients and employees due to high voltage electric wire passing over the home and has directed to present the petition for hearing on July 23.

This order has been given by the division bench of Chief Justice Arun Bhasali and Justice Vikas Budhwar on the public interest petition of High Court advocate SK Singh. The petitioner says that on 18 September 23, the bone of his right hand was broken. He was admitted in Vandana Nursing Home Sadatpur from 21 September to 23 September. On 22 September, he was walking on the roof of the hospital when he got a severe electric shock due to touching the railing. When he looked up, he saw a high tension electric wire passing from which a sound was coming.

On enquiring, it was also found out that a nursing home is being run in a residential building. If it is not closed, the lives of the patients and the staff may be in danger. On which this petition has been filed.
