An air hostess of Pakistan's state-run airline PIA (Pakistan International Airlines) has been arrested at Toronto Airport. Passports which are not valid for international travel have been recovered from him.
According to the report of Pakistani newspaper, along with Heena Sani of PIA's air hostel, seven other crew members were also there in the flight. Canadian authorities had placed all these crew members on the no-fly personnel list. However, all these members had taken special permission from DGM Flight Services. Which was a reference to the prescribed norms.
After the arrest of the air hostess, PIA spokesperson has said that the airline has received information about this matter and we are cooperating with the Canadian authorities. The airlines are committed to following all legal procedures.
Air hostess Heena Sani, caught in Canada, has been involved in smuggling of illegal goods in the past also. For this he was detained in Canada earlier also. PIA's name has been tarnished internationally due to the actions of its air hostesses.
Last month, PIA air hostess Maryam Raza had reached Toronto by flight on duty and was supposed to return the next day, but she went missing from the hotel. Similarly, in 2022, an air hostess also did not return to Pakistan after reaching Canada. Another air hostess was caught stealing from a shop in France.
