SSP Chandan Kumar Sinha told in the press conference on Wednesday that a case was registered on December 28, 2023 in Sadar police station related to embezzlement of about Rs 20 crore in the amount of Urban Water Supply Scheme (JNURM) in Drinking Water Swarnarekha Top Work Division, Ranchi. A special research team was formed under the leadership of City SP to investigate the case. The special team formed arrested Santosh Kumar from the in-laws house of the accused located at Indrapuri Road number 1 of Sukhdevnagar police station. During the investigation, Rs 15 lakh was recovered from him. On its investigation, embezzled amount of Rs 35 lakh 98 thousand 500 has been recovered in the case. In this way, a total of Rs 50 lakh 98 thousand 500 has been seized in the case.
