Auraiya, July 15 (HS). People in the district are troubled by excessive power cuts and water shortage due to low voltage. To improve the power system, the Nagar Panchayat President met the Energy Minister and handed over a memorandum to him demanding improvement in the power supply of the town.
Phaphund Nagar Panchayat Chairman Mohammad Anwar met the state's Energy Minister A.K. Sharma on Monday regarding the electricity problem. He handed over a memorandum to the Energy Minister. He told the minister that Auraiya town is barely getting 13 to 14 hours of electricity in installments. The problem has increased further due to low voltage. Due to lack of proper voltage, the Nagar Panchayat's tube wells are not able to run at full capacity for drinking water supply, due to which the water tanks are not getting filled. Due to this, the people of the city are not able to get drinking water supply as per their requirement. At the same time, water is not able to reach the houses of the higher localities of the city at full speed. People are very troubled in the humid heat due to very low voltage and untimely power cuts. On the demand of the chairman, the Energy Minister has assured him to fix the supply soon.
