If you are employed, then it is obvious that as per the rules, every month a part of your salary is deducted from your PF (Provident Fund) account. Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) is a government entity responsible for managing the PF accounts of employed individuals. Every month a certain amount is deducted from the employee's salary and deposited in their PF account and the company also contributes the same amount. Later, if needed or after leaving the job, the employee can withdraw this amount. It is also necessary to nominate someone in the account, to ensure that in the absence of the account holder, the entire amount goes to the nominee. Also, if you want to change your nominee, you can do so at any time. The process is straightforward, so let's learn how.
Changing Nominee in PF Account:
step 1:
If you have already nominated someone in your PF account, but want to change it for some reason, you can do so. Start by visiting the official EPFO website, epfindia.gov.in. Go to the 'Services' section and click on the 'Employees' option.
step 2:
Proceed to the 'Manage' section, and under it, enter your UAN (Universal Account Number) and password. After entering the captcha click on the login button. Once logged in, you will need to enter your member ID.
step 3:
A new page will open, where you have to go to the 'e-Nomination' option under 'Manage' section. Then, click on the option to update your family details.
step 4:
Now, you can add a new nominee under the 'Family Details' section. Here, you have the option to add another nominee.
Step 5:
After adding the nominee details, click Save, and the changes will be updated.
