South Indian food is often cooked in our homes. If you also make idli at home, you can give it a new twist. Instead of making plain idli and sambar, you can make mixed veg idli with the same sambar and chutney. For this you will have to add some vegetables to the idli batter. Mix Veg Idli
Material
-2 cups idli pudding
-1/4 cup chopped cauliflower
-1/4 cup chopped onion
-1/4 cup grated carrot
-1/4 cup boiled peas
-2 tbsp chopped coriander
-1/2 tsp eno
-1 teaspoon crushed chilli
-1/2 tsp ground ginger
– salt to taste
– Chaat masala as required

-1/4 tsp mustard
-1/4 tsp sesame seeds

First of all, add onion, capsicum, carrot, peas, salt, chilli, green coriander, ginger and cauliflower to the idli cucumber. – After this, add egg to it, stir well and steam it in the idli stand. Keep some coriander leaves aside. When the idli cools down a bit, remove it from the stand and sprinkle chaat masala and green coriander over it. Then sprinkle mustard and sesame seeds on it. Serve the chutney with hot idli.
