Islamabad : Pakistan News Islamabad High Court has ordered the Adiala Jail authorities that only those people whom it allows to visit will be able to meet former Prime Minister Imran Khan who is serving his sentence.
Justice Sardar Ijaz Ishaq Khan gave this order on the petition of Imran's party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser and others. PTI leaders had filed a petition against the superintendent of Adiala Jail for not being allowed to meet Imran.
Panic broke out after weapons and ammunition were found behind the jail.
Jail Superintendent Asad Waraich, in a written reply in the contempt of court case, told the court on Friday that arms and ammunition were recovered behind the jail two days ago. Two suspects have also been arrested in this case.
No one was allowed to meet him due to the search operation.
The jail superintendent also said that security personnel have been deployed to protect the PTI founder during the meeting. Other people are kept away from the meeting place so that no one can hear their conversation.
