News India Live, Digital Desk: Jharkhand had become a separate state years ago, but the students studying medicine here had to face a big problem. There were medical colleges here, but there was no medical university of its own. The effect of this was that exams were never held on time and there was delay in getting degrees.
But now you should be happy, because the Jharkhand government has decided to give a big gift to the students before the New Year.
What is the minister’s plan?
State Health Minister Irfan Ansari has made it clear that Jharkhand will soon get its First Medical University Going to meet. He told that preparations for this have been completed. The government has prepared its complete draft and it will be presented in the Assembly session starting soon. The work will start as soon as it is approved from there.
Why was there a need for this?
Till now, what used to happen was that different medical colleges of the state came under different universities (like Ranchi University or Vinoba Bhave University). Being a normal university, there was not that much focus on medical examinations and syllabus. Result – Late sessions and stress of students.
Now when the state will have its own medical university, all government and private medical colleges, nursing colleges and para-medical institutions will come under one roof.
What will be the benefit to the students?
- Exam on time: Now MBBS and Nursing exams will be held on time.
- Same syllabus: The same pattern of studies will be applicable in the entire state.
- Less hassle: Students will not have to wander here and there for degrees and certificates.
The Health Minister has held a meeting with the officials to ensure that there are no shortcomings in the bill. He says that this will bring a revolution in the health education sector of Jharkhand.
So it can be said that this year is going to give a big relief to the future doctors of Jharkhand. Now just waiting for this bill to be passed in the Assembly!
