People have lost sleep due to increase in minimum temperature in Uttar Pradesh

Kanpur, May 20 (HS). Constant changes are being seen in the weather of Uttar Pradesh. The hot winds coming from the Thar Desert are causing severe heat in the Ganga plains. While the maximum temperatures during the day are above normal, the night temperature has increased by six degrees Celsius. In such a situation, people have lost their night's sleep and power cuts have become a separate problem.

Dr. SN Sunil Pandey, meteorologist of Chandrashekhar Azad University of Agricultural Technology, said on Monday that due to westerly winds, hot winds from the Thar Desert of Rajasthan are continuously entering the Ganga plains of Uttar Pradesh. On one hand, due to the heat of the sun, the day temperature is 3.4 degrees Celsius above normal, while on the other hand, the night temperature has reached 6.7 degrees above normal. In such a situation, people are neither getting relief during the day nor at night. People are becoming more troubled due to power cuts and faults. The weather will remain like this for the next five days and clouds may appear in the sky from time to time, but there does not seem to be any respite from the scorching heat. Along with this, there is a possibility of thunder and lightning in Bundelkhand and Kaushambi districts. Strong winds will increase the heat wave.

He said that the maximum temperature in Kanpur was recorded at 43.8 and the minimum temperature was 30.0 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity in the morning was 59 percent and the relative humidity in the afternoon was 21 percent. The direction of the winds was north-west with an average speed of 5.6 km per hour. According to the weather forecast, there are chances of light clouds in the next five days but there is no possibility of rain. The day temperature is expected to be above normal.
