People are falling sick due to contaminated water in rural areas, administration should pay attention to pollution: Santosh Gangwar | News India

Ramgarh, August 28 (HS). Contaminated water in rural areas is making people sick. The central government is running the Har Ghar Nal Se Jal Yojana to save people. Common citizens should be alert and take advantage of the schemes of the central government. These things were said by Governor Santosh Gangwar in the Jan Samvad cum Asset Distribution Program in Kuju East Panchayat of Ramgarh district on Wednesday. During the program organized in the Panchayat Bhawan, the Governor directly connected with the common people. He discussed issues like Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, Free Food Scheme, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He tried to know from the people how many people are aware about the scheme. How many people are taking advantage of it and in which village the eligible beneficiaries have been deprived of the scheme. During this, he sought direct suggestions from the common citizens and also talked about written complaints. He also assured to solve the problem together on the basis of people's suggestions. Governor Santosh Gangwar also remembered the days of the Corona period. He said that due to the alertness of the government and the cooperation of the public, India suffered much less loss than other countries. The government provided free ration to 80 crore people during that period.

District administration should take initiative to reduce pollution

During the dialogue, common citizens raised the issue of pollution. Governor Santosh Gangwar directed the district administration to take initiative on this issue. During this, Ramgarh DC Chandan Kumar told the Governor that there are many industries in Ramgarh district. Also, most of the land here is affected by the mining sector. Due to which there is pollution here. But guidelines have been given to the owners of industries to reduce pollution. Along with this, officials of CCL and other private companies have also been instructed to plant trees, sprinkle water at the polluted site and do other necessary work.

The governor distributed the assets

Governor Santosh Gangwar was welcomed by DC Chandan Kumar and SP Ajay Kumar. Guard of honour was given at the venue. After this, the Governor provided financial assistance to self-help groups under Abua Awas Yojana, Chief Minister Mainiya Samman Yojana, CIF JSLPS. Besides this, assets were also distributed under Chief Minister Cycle Yojana, Kukut Palan Yojana. During this, the Governor planted a sapling in the Panchayat Bhawan. On this occasion, DDC Robin Toppo, Deputy Collector Geetanjali Prasad, NDC Ravindra Kumar Gupta, DSO Ranjita Toppo, Panchayati Raj Officer Nisha Kumari Singh and many others were present.
