Jammu, 12 April (HIST). Jammu and Kashmir National Conference, District Jammu Urban called a one-day conference at Sher-e-Kashmir Bhawan, Jammu on Friday. The conference was attended by senior NC leaders including former minister and additional general secretary Ajay Kumar Sadhotra, JKNC Jammu provincial president Ratan Lal Gupta, former minister Babu Rampal and other party functionaries.
Addressing party workers, senior NC leader Ajay Sadhotra described the attitude of the present government towards public issues as insensitive. He said that the general public is facing many problems, but the BJP government at the Center and the Jammu and Kashmir administration are doing nothing except making statements and showing dreams to the people. He called upon the party workers to be among the people and make every possible effort to resolve their issues.
The former minister emphasized that the Indi alliance is currently leading in Jammu and Kashmir and expressed optimism about winning all the five Lok Sabha seats in the region. Provincial President Ratan Lal Gupta in his address said that the general public is disappointed with the misgovernance of the present government, which is far behind in meeting their expectations. He underlined the current economic challenges, citing rising inflation rates as evidence of the government's shortcomings.
He said that people will not forget this regime for decades and will definitely give a befitting reply in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to save the Constitution and democracy in the country in general and Jammu and Kashmir in particular.
