People affected due to natural disaster should get all possible help: BSP

Jammu, 30 April (HIST). Pradesh Bahujan Samaj Party has demanded from the Lieutenant Governor Administration of Jammu and Kashmir that the families who have suffered losses due to land subsidence in village Pernot in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir should be provided appropriate relief from the government as soon as possible. They should be provided and those families should be given permanent houses at safe places by the government.

Bahujan Samaj Party Jammu and Kashmir President Darshan Rana said during a press conference at the party office on Tuesday that due to recent land subsidence in village Pernot in Ramban district of Jammu and Kashmir, around 58 houses have been damaged and hundreds of people have been injured. People have become homeless. The threat of natural disaster still looms over them. He said that these families have been sent to safe places by SDRF, but Bahujan Samaj Party demands that full assistance should be given to these families so that in the coming time, these people can make their homes at safe places.

He said that a team of Bahujan Samaj Party will soon visit this village in Ramban district and the affected people will be met. He said that due to the natural disaster, on one hand there has been a lot of damage to the houses, on the other hand there has been a complete standstill from electricity supply to road facilities and the education of the students is also being greatly affected. He said that the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir should form a special team as soon as possible so that the facilities provided to the people can be delivered to the people as soon as possible and permanent houses can also be built and given to the people.

He said that in this hour of crisis, Bahujan Samaj Party is completely standing with those people and is continuously demanding from the government that these people should be provided better facilities and the danger looming over their heads should be removed. Needed He said that there is still an atmosphere of fear among the people and the entire area up to 5 kilometers has been affected due to the natural disaster.
