Pension amount transferred to the accounts of 1.86 lakh elderly and needy people of Ranchi

A very relieving and good news is coming from the government for lakhs of elderly, widows, disabled and economically weak needy of Jharkhand. Under the state government’s ambitious ‘Sarvajan Pension Yojana’, the pension amount has been successfully transferred to the bank accounts of about 1.86 lakh eligible beneficiaries of Ranchi district. Receiving this financial assistance has brought happiness back on the faces of the beneficiaries, as they do not have to depend on others for their daily needs and medicine expenses. However, in the meantime there are some people whose amount has not yet reached their accounts, due to which they are worried. If the pension money has not yet been received in your or any of your family member’s account, then you do not need to panic but will have to get some necessary technical improvements done. Let us know what process you have to follow to avail the benefits of this scheme and what steps should be taken immediately if the money is not received.

The main objective of the Sarvajan Pension Scheme run by the Government of Jharkhand is to provide financial security to every needy citizen of the state who is alone at this stage of age or who does not have any solid means of livelihood. According to the data released recently by the Directorate of Social Security and Ranchi District Administration, under this scheme, the pension amount has been sent directly to the bank accounts of about 1.86 lakh verified beneficiaries of the district through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). The scope of this scheme includes senior citizens aged 60 years and above, destitute women, persons with disabilities and people belonging to particularly vulnerable tribal groups. It is the effort of the government that no eligible citizen of the state is deprived of social security and the assistance amount continues to reach his/her account on time, so that their standard of living can be improved.

Many times it is seen that despite the funds being released by the government, the money does not reach the accounts of many beneficiaries, due to which they become worried. Some technical and banking glitches are mainly responsible for this. The biggest reason is that the bank account is not linked to Aadhaar card (Aadhaar Seeding) or DBT is not enabled. If the KYC of your bank account is not completed on time, or your account is in inoperative status for the last few months, then the money sent by the government gets stuck on the way. Apart from this, sometimes the transaction fails due to change in bank account number or change in IFSC Code. Therefore, it is very important to keep checking the status of your bank account from time to time so that you are not deprived of government benefits due to any technical hurdle.

If the amount of Sarvajan Pension Yojana has not yet arrived in the bank account of you or any eligible member of your family, then you should immediately take some important steps so that the next installment can be received on time. First of all, go to your respective bank branch and make sure whether your bank account is linked to your Aadhar card or not and whether the DBT (Direct Benefit Transfer) facility is enabled in it or not. Along with this, go to your nearest Pragya Kendra or Block Office and contact the Social Security Department employees and get the data checked through your pension ID. If any error is found in your documents, get it corrected immediately and updated on the portal. Apart from this, you can also register your complaint by contacting the helpline numbers issued by the District Social Welfare Office, so that the administration can resolve your problem quickly.

In developing states like Jharkhand, where a large population lives in rural areas and many families struggle for livelihood, welfare schemes like Sarvajan Pension Yojana are proving to be no less than a boon. This monthly financial assistance to the elderly and helpless people not only provides them financial support but also gives them an opportunity to live a respectable life in the society. It is the responsibility of the government and local administration to ensure that the benefits of the schemes reach the last person directly without any middleman. Continuous efforts are being made by the district administration to include the eligible beneficiaries who have been left out in this scheme and those who have technical problems should be resolved by organizing special camps. The general public should also help the elders around them in these technical processes so that every help from the government reaches the right hands at the right time.
