Prayagraj, 30 September (HS). In the matter of changing the answer sheets of PCS J Main Exam 2022, Allahabad High Court has directed the advocate of petitioner Shravan Pandey to withdraw his amendment petition.
The court has said that the amendment application should be withdrawn, prepared afresh and filed in the court. Whereas on the affidavit filed by the Public Service Commission, the court has given time to the petitioner to file the reply. On Monday, affidavits were also filed on behalf of other candidates who became parties in this case.
The division bench of Justice SD Singh and Justice D Ramesh, hearing the case, has fixed October 4 for the next hearing. Earlier, an affidavit was filed by the Public Service Commission in compliance with the earlier order of the High Court.
It is noteworthy that, after the issue of exchange of answer sheets of some candidates in the main examination of PCS J 2022 came to light, a petition has been filed in the High Court. After which the Commission took action and revised the result and recommended inclusion of two new candidates in the selection list while excluding two selected candidates from the selection list.
Taking this seriously, the High Court has raised questions from the State Government and the Public Service Commission regarding its jurisdiction. And the state government has also been asked what is its stand on the recommendation of the commission. On the affidavit filed by the Commission on this matter, the court has asked the petitioner's advocate to file his reply.
