Prayagraj, 04 October (Hindustan Reporter). Additional Advocate General of Allahabad High Court PC Srivastava has resigned from his post. In his resignation letter sent to Principal Secretary Justice Lucknow on Friday, he said that he was leaving the post due to personal reasons. PC Srivastava was appointed to the post of Additional Advocate General by the Uttar Pradesh Government on 26 May 2023.

During his tenure of about one and a half years, he advocated effectively on behalf of the state government in criminal cases mainly related to Mukhtar Ansari, Irfan Solanki, Rameshwar Yadav, Jogendra Yadav, Rakesh Dhar Tripathi, Ramakant Yadav, Vijay Mishra, Umesh Pal murder case, Bikaru murder case. Apart from this, he also strongly defended the state government against Atiq Ahmed and his gang, against former MLC Iqbal Bala, against Noida mafia Ravi Kana gang and against former cabinet minister Azam Khan.
