Paytm Update: Paytm is facing a lot of problems after the action taken by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) on Paytm Payments Bank. Because of this the company had to stop its Fastag service. However, Paytm has been offered a license to operate as a third-party aggregator. This service is provided by Google Pay and WhatsApp Pay in the country. Due to this change, users' existing @paytm UPI ID will not be available. Hence, upon migration they have to switch to the new ID.
In the meantime, if you're waiting for the change to happen or for some reason the auto-migration hasn't happened, you can do it manually in the app on your phone. This process does not take much time.
