Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan will observe an 11-day Varahi Vijaya Deeksha (fast) dedicated to Goddess Varahi Ammavari from June 26. Janasena Party sources said that during this time he will consume only milk, fruits and water. This is not the first time that Pawan Kalyan has undertaken such a spiritual endeavor. In June last year, he started the Varahi Vijaya Yatra and worshiped Varahi Devi, after which he took Deeksha. Pawan Kalyan's decision to take this Deeksha is being seen as seeking the blessings of the goddess for the welfare of the state and its people. Deeksha will begin from June 26 and will last for 11 days. During this time Pawan Kalyan will pray for the prosperity and development of Andhra Pradesh.
