Patna Nepal Flight Construction work of the new terminal is going on in Patna. It will be ready by next year. After this, international flights will be able to start from Patna.
It is worth mentioning that after the hijacking of a plane going from Delhi to Kathmandu on 24 December 1999, Patna airport remained an international airport in name only. In view of the increasing crowd of Buddhist tourists, there is a possibility of getting direct flights from here to countries like Japan, Vietnam, Myanmar and Thailand apart from Nepal.
Demolition work is going on on the old building
Let us tell you that the new terminal is being constructed at a cost of Rs 1,216 crore. The construction work was started in October 2018, but the plan was delayed due to the corona infection. The work of demolishing the old building also started late, due to which the plan was also affected.
Warehouses, state hangars etc. have been demolished. After connecting the link bridge to the parking, the old terminal will be completely demolished. So far 65 percent of the work has been completed.
