The foundation that will be built during the construction of the Signature Bridge will be 120 feet deep from the surface of the river. Above that there will be a pillar and then a bridge. An economic structure will be built. This bridge will be close to the second entrance of Kashi Railway Station located at Kashi Rajghat. This bridge will be more than one kilometer long. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav has also shared the blue print of a four-lane railway track and a six-lane road. This bridge, which will be built 50 meters parallel to the 137 year old Malviya Bridge at Rajghat, will have direct connection to Kashi, Chandauli, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Trains and goods trains will run at a speed of 100 km/h on the new bridge.

Varanasi Railway Station is an important part of the Railways.

Varanasi Railway Station is an important hub of Indian Railways. This railway station serves as a gateway for pilgrims, tourists and the local population. Varanasi-Pt. is important in terms of both passenger and freight traffic. Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Junction Road has a special place due to its role in transportation of goods like coal, cement and food grains as well as meeting the demands of growing tourism and industry. This new bridge will reduce congestion at both the stations. Apart from relieving congestion in this rail section, 27.83 MTPA freight traffic is estimated on the proposed section. The project is an outcome of the PM-GatiShakti National Master Plan related to multi-modal connectivity, which has been made possible through coordinated planning and will provide seamless connectivity for movement of people, goods and services.
