Cummins said, 'When I met Shahrukh Khan for the first time, I did not know who he was. I was about 18 or 19 years old at that time. I had never seen a Bollywood film. I met him and said, this guy is very nice. There were many security guards around him. The rest of the young Indian players were standing around him very hesitantly. Then I thought that he must be a very special person. All he used to say to us players was, 'Have fun and play freely.'
Pat Cummins did not play in the IPL 2023 season. Then in the IPL 2024 auction, Cummins was sold to Sunrisers Hyderabad for Rs. Bought for 20.5 crores. He became the most expensive player in IPL history after Mitchell Starc. Starc was bought by Kolkata for Rs 24.75 crore.
