The main objective of Digital Life Certificate Campaign 3.0 is to ensure that all pensioners, especially those living in rural areas, can easily submit their life certificate. Under this campaign, digital certificate service will be provided to the pensioners at their doorstep by the vast network of postmen and Gramin Dak Sevaks through the Department of Posts and India Post Payments Bank.
Various stakeholders including Pensioners Welfare Group, UDAY and Treasury have also been roped in in this campaign, which will provide special benefits to pensioners. Now pensioners will not need to submit any other government document to get the life certificate made. Pensioners can easily get a life certificate by visiting the nearest post office or through doorstep service by just giving their Aadhar number and pension details.
Postmaster General of Prayagraj region Rajiv Umrao said on Wednesday that all the employees of 1958 main post offices, sub-post offices and branch post offices of 7 districts of Prayagraj region will actively participate in this campaign and provide doorstep service. He informed that special camps will be organized on November 4, 8, 16 and 25 at various centers in these districts, so that pensioners can get more facilities. A fee of Rs 70 will be charged for this service. On completion of the process of making DLC, a confirmation message will be received on the pensioner's mobile number and his/her life certificate can be viewed online on the website after a day.
