Jaipur's Avni Lakhera and Mona Agarwal have reached the final of 10 meter air rifle shooting in the Paralympics being held in Paris. Both the shooters of Jaipur will now aim for medals in the final. After both of them reaching the final, the possibility of medals has increased. Avni has secured second place in the 10 meter air rifle shooting competition. Avni has 625.8 points. While Mona Agarwal stood fifth with 623.1 points. A total of eight shooters are in the fray for the final.

Avni Lekhara is a well-known name in shooting. Avni had earlier won gold and bronze medals at the 2020 Paralympics. Along with this, Mona Agarwal is participating in the Paralympics for the first time. Avni Lekhara performed brilliantly at the Paralympic Games 2020 held in Tokyo and won the gold medal in the 10m air rifle SH-1 event.

She also won a bronze medal in 50m rifle. After this, Avni won the gold medal in the Para Shooting World Cup. She became the first female athlete to win a gold medal for India. Along with this, she also made a record of becoming the first Indian female athlete to win two medals in one Olympics. There is consistency in her performance.
