Paris Paralympics: India wins eighth medal, Yogesh Kathunia wins silver in discus throw F-56 | News India

This is the fifth day of Paris Paralympics 2024. Indian para athletes are participating in many sports on the fifth day of these games. Today Yogesh Kathuniya has won a silver medal for India in the men's discus throw F56 event. Yogesh has won silver for the second consecutive Paralympics. Earlier, Yogesh had also won silver in the Tokyo Paralympics.

Yogesh threw 42.22 meters in the first attempt, which was his best attempt. Batista dos Santos Kludny of Brazil won the gold medal in this event. Batista achieved this feat with a best throw of 46.86. Batista's throw was the best throw in this event in the history of the Paralympic Games. Tzonis Constantinos of Greece won the bronze medal.
