Parents should think 100 times before giving junk food to their child, it can lead to serious illness

Parenting Tips : In this busy life, the trend of eating fast food or junk food has increased among children. Most children like to eat fast food like pizza, burger, Maggi, Naroodles and cold drinks. These foods have a bad effect on the health of children and especially their teeth. Let us tell you what experts say about the care of children's teeth-

It is important to pay attention since childhood
It is important to pay attention to the child's sugar and salt intake from childhood. If we talk about statistics, in the capital's three big government hospitals AIIMS, JP and Hamidia, more than ten thousand children up to five years of age have come in a year, whose illness is caused by sugar and salt.

5,000 cases of type 1 diabetes
Five thousand cases of type-1 diabetes are coming to OPD in children below 14 years of age and every year about hundred new cases of such diabetes are increasing. Type-1 diabetes is mostly seen in children while type-2 diabetes is increasing in adults.

According to pediatricians, frequent sugar intake affects blood sugar management and increases the risk of type-1 diabetes in children. Therefore, salt and excess sugar are affecting the kidneys, eyes and blood pressure of children.

Effects on eyes and digestion
According to pediatricians, children between 4 and 6 years of age should not eat more than 19 grams of sugar a day. If a child eats too much sugar or salt, it can damage his eyes and also affect the kidneys. Eating too much sugar or salty food can cause digestive problems, high blood pressure and asthma in the child.

White sugar contains 'naked calories'. It provides energy, but no nutrition. A better option for children could be jaggery or brown sugar, which have anti-oxidant properties and nutrients.

Do not consume too much jaggery
Jaggery contains minerals like chromium, magnesium, manganese and zinc. Whereas brown sugar contains chlorine, iron, potassium and sodium. But this should also not be given to the child before one year and in excess.
