Bhopal, September 6 (HS). Madhya Pradesh State Water Sports Academy's kayaking-canoeing players Prachi Yadav and Pooja Ojha, representing the country on Friday, started their campaign with a win in the Paralympic Games 2024 held in Paris, France. Both the players reached the semi-final match on the very first day, showing their sports talent.
It is noteworthy that this is Prachi's second Para Olympics. Earlier, Prachi represented the country in Tokyo Olympics 2020. On Friday, in the VL-02 200m Women's 200m-VL-2 Heat-1 event, Prachi Yadav qualified in the heat with a time of 01:06:83 seconds and entered the semi-finals. At the same time, the academy's player Pooja Ojha has entered the semi-finals with a time of 1:16:09 in the heat match of KL-01 200m Women's 200m-KL-1 Heat-2 event. The semi-final matches of the competition will be played on Saturday. State Sports Minister Vishwas Kailash Sarang has sent his best wishes to both the players of MP State Academy for better performance.
