Asuncion, July 16 (HS). Brighton forward Julio Enciso has been included in Paraguay's squad for the Paris Olympic Games, the Paraguay Football Association said on Monday. The 20-year-old will replace Cruzeiro midfielder Fabrizio Peralta, who has been ruled out with a muscle injury.
Earlier this year, Enciso was included in the Paraguay squad's provisional list, which was reduced to 18 players earlier this month.
Paraguay's squad includes two players over the age of 23: goalkeeper Gatito Fernández and defender Fabian Balbuena.
The South American team earned a place at the Paris Olympics by winning the South American Football Confederation pre-Olympic tournament in Venezuela in February. Paraguay will open its campaign against Japan on July 24, followed by Israel and Mali in the group stage.
