Materials for cages
Whole dried coriander powder – 1 cup
Ghee – half a cup
Powdered sugar – half a cup
Cashews, almonds, pistachios and raisins finely chopped – half cup
Makhana – 1/4 cup
Coconut flour – 1/4 cup
Cardamom powder – half a teaspoon
Ritual of making Panjiri
To make Panjiri, first heat ghee in a pan. – After the ghee is heated, add whole coriander powder to it. Roast the coriander well on low flame. When the coriander starts smelling and its color changes, turn off the gas and keep it aside.
– Now heat some ghee in the same vessel and fry the chopped dry fruits and makhana. When the makhana becomes crispy, take out all the things and cool them. – Now mix roasted coriander powder and sugar in another vessel. – After mixing both the things well, add roasted fruits, makhana and coconut flour and after mixing, add cardamom powder to it. Mix all the ingredients well. When the cage cools down, hand it over to Lord Krishna.
