Earthquake in Manipur state of India

An earthquake occurred in the Indian state of Manipur today at around 5.45 am. An earthquake occurred in Bishnupur district of the state, the intensity of which was measured at 3.6 on the Richter scale. National Center for Seismology (NCS) gave this information. Police said there was no loss of life or property due to the earthquake, whose epicenter was at 24.64 degrees north latitude and 93.83 degrees east longitude at a depth of 10 kilometers in Manipur’s Bishnupur area.

Earthquake of magnitude 5 hits Peru

According to media reports, apart from India, an earthquake occurred in Peru this morning, the intensity of which was measured at 4.9 on the Richter scale. The earthquake in Peru occurred 57 kilometers east-northeast of Palaca, whose epicenter was at a depth of 164.9 kilometers below the earth’s surface. The United States Geological Survey (USGS) has confirmed an earthquake in Peru today.

Earthquake tremors felt in mountainous areas of Afghanistan

According to media reports, apart from India-Peru, earthquake has also occurred in Afghanistan. An earthquake measuring 4.4 on the Richter scale occurred in the mountainous Badakhshan region of Afghanistan at around 6.30 am today. The National Center for Seismology (NCS) has confirmed the earthquake. The epicenter of the earthquake was located in the Badakhshan region at 36.32 north latitude and 71.37 east longitude. Two earthquakes have occurred earlier this week. Last month, more than 10 earthquakes occurred in this area.
