The first condition for making PAN card is that you should have Aadhar card. E-PAN card can be made only through Aadhaar. There should not be any confusion regarding e-PAN card. E-PAN card can be used in place of PAN card. There is a special number on the PAN card. This special number identifies your PAN. It contains English words and numbers.
How to make e-pan card
- First of all you have to go to https://www.incometax.gov.in/iec/foportal/.
- Now you have to scroll the page, where the option of Instant e-PAN Card will appear at the bottom.
- After this a new page will open, on the left side of which the option of Get New e-PAN will appear, on which you will have to click.
- After this you will have to enter 12 digits of your Aadhaar.
- Then you have to tap on the I Confirm That option given below.
- After this an OTP will come on the mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- Then you have to verify by entering OTP.
- After this enter the e-mail ID and enter the required information for PAN card.
- After some time of filling the form, you will get the confirmation number, check it. If the information is correct then you will get the PAN number through the download option.
- You can use this pan like a regular pan.
Note – After applying for e-PAN card, you will have to go to the Income Tax website, where you will have to click on the “Check Status/Download PAN” option. In this way the PAN card will be downloaded in PDF.
