Palwal: Haryana becomes hub of sports: Gaurav Gautam

Palwal, 16 November (HS). Gaurav Gautam, Minister of State for Sports, Youth Empowerment and Entrepreneurship and Law Legislative in the Haryana Government, said that Haryana’s journey from being an agricultural state to becoming the leader of sports has been remarkable in many ways. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini, such an environment of sports has been created in the state that today Haryana has become the hub of sports. The players of the state are bringing glory to the country and the state by winning medals in Olympics and other national and international sports events.

Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam was addressing as the chief guest the function organized in the indoor stadium of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Stadium, Palwal on Saturday in honor of the players who were medal winners in state level and national level school sports competitions. He congratulated all the medal winning players and wished them a bright future. He said that due to the new sports policy and modern infrastructure made by the Haryana Government, the players of the state are making Haryana’s name shine on the world stage. Today Haryana has created a unique identity for itself in the sports field.

Youth will play an important role in making India developed by 2047

The Sports Minister said that by the year 2047, India will be a developed India, in which the youth of the country will play an important role. He said that together we have to realize the dreams of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. He said that every type of facilities will be provided to the children from sports to education, from education to science and you will be helped in every field. He said that I want the sports talent of Palwal to bring glory to the region in the state as well as in the country and the world.

Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam said that players from Haryana excel in national and international sports competitions. To boost the morale of the players, the present state government is giving the highest prize money in the country to the winning players. In the Olympic Games, the gold medal winner is given a cash prize of Rs 6 crore, the silver medal winner is given Rs 4 crore and the bronze medal winner is given Rs 2.50 crore. A provision has been made to provide Paralympic players on the lines of Olympic medal winners and equal cash rewards for their participation like normal players. Apart from this, there is also a provision to give Rs 15 lakh to each participating player. Sports Minister Gaurav Gautam honored the players who secured first, second and third positions in various competitions organized at the state and national level in the ceremony.
