Palamu, October 8 (HS). The 35th East Zone National Junior Athletics Competition was organized from October 7 to 9 under the joint auspices of Orissa Athletics Association and Athletics Federation of India. 6 member team Akanksha Kumari, Arya Singh, Arya Singh, Sandhya Kumari, Hemant Kumar, Irfan Ali participated in this competition from Palamu. On the first day of the competition, Akanksha Kumari brought glory to Palamu by winning gold medal in 200 meter race and silver medal in 400 meter race and marking her name in East Zone National.
District Athletics Association Secretary Sanjay Kumar Tripathi said on Tuesday that the player who performs excellently in the East Zone will get the opportunity to play in the 39th National Junior Athletics Competition.
