Palamu, 1 July (HS). Palamu Regional Police Sports Competition-2024 concluded on Monday. The competition ended after one day due to rain. The three-day competition started on 28 June. The police personnel of Palamu displayed excellent performance and won the title of overall champion. Latehar came second, while Garhwa's team came third.
In the closing ceremony, Palamu DIG YS Ramesh, as the chief guest, awarded the players who performed well. Along with him, Palamu Superintendent of Police Rishma Rameshan, Latehar SP Anjani Anjan and Garhwa SP Deepak Pandey awarded the winning player and team with medals and trophies. They also wished them a better future.
On the occasion, DIG said that the police teams of Palamu, Garhwa and Latehar displayed excellent sportsmanship. Sports have special importance along with job. It is especially needed in training. This platform gives a lot of relief to the jawans who live under stress. It changes their focus, those who perform well here will be recommended to perform in the state and on performing well there, they will be given a chance to show their talent at the national level. DIG said that promotion can also be obtained immediately through sports. Sports is a better medium to get promotion.
