'Pakistan will not be an enemy for us, but for BJP': Congress leader BK Hariprasad's statement creates controversy, clarification needed

The recently concluded Rajya Sabha elections 2024 are being discussed. After the victory of Congress in Karnataka in this election, the love of party leaders for 'Pakistan' is also making a lot of headlines.

Slogans of Pakistan Zindabad were reportedly raised after Congress' victory in the Rajya Sabha elections in Karnataka on Tuesday. Apart from this, party leader BK Hariprasad gave a statement on Wednesday which sparked controversy. He said that Pakistan will be an enemy country for BJP but a neighboring country for Congress.

Karnataka Congress councilor BK Hariprasad created controversy by saying that Pakistan may be an 'enemy country' for BJP, but Congress only considers it a neighboring country. Responding to this, Karnataka BJP has accused Congress of promoting anti-national sentiments. Seeing the controversy increasing, the Congress leader later clarified.

BK Hariprasad said in his defence, “I never said this. I said that Pakistan is our neighboring state, it can become an enemy country for BJP. If Pakistan is an enemy country then why does BJP do all kinds of business with Pakistan? They should declare Pakistan an enemy country.”
