There is news of heavy firing and explosion on PNS Siddiqui in Turbat, Pakistan's second largest naval air station. According to The Balochistan Post, the Majeed Brigade of the outlawed Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack in an email to journalists. The Brigadier said that we have already entered the Pakistani Navy airbase in Turbat.
This naval base, known for its strategic importance and deployment of Chinese drones, has become the latest target of the Majeed Brigade. The point to be noted here is that Majeed Brigade opposes Chinese investment in Balochistan province. China and Pakistan are accused of exploiting the region's resources.
Immediately after the attack by people in the hospital, the District Health Officer has declared emergency in the teaching hospital of Turbat. All medical staff, including doctors, have been ordered to report immediately to care for potential victims of the attack.
According to The Balochistan Post, in its latest update to the media, the BLA claimed that 'more than a dozen people were killed' in the attack on PNS Siddiqui in the last three hours; Pakistani soldiers have been killed. Apart from this, BLA has also released an audio clip. Which allegedly belongs to one of their fighters involved in the attack on PNS Siddiqui. The recording shows the fighter aircraft claiming that several Pakistani vehicles have been targeted.
