Pakistan: Suicide attack in Dera Ismail Khan district, two security personnel killed

A suicide attack has been carried out targeting the convoy of security forces in Dera Ismail Khan district of Pakistan. Two security personnel were martyred in this attack. While more than 10 people have been injured. According to the information, an explosion took place near the convoy of security forces in Dera Ismail Khan. This massive explosion took place in Hathala police station. So some people got injured. Due to which transport was stopped for everyone. Apart from this, an explosion was carried out targeting the crowd outside a bank in Kandahar province of Afghanistan. This is also suspected to be a suicide attack.

These blasts happened a day before the elections

Earlier, there were reports of blasts in Pakistan even during elections. General elections were to be held in Pakistan on 8 February. A day earlier on Wednesday, two major explosions had occurred in Balochistan, in which 30 people were killed, while 42 were injured.

The first blast took place outside the office of an independent candidate in Pishin, Balochistan, killing 17 people and injuring 30 others. About an hour later there was a second explosion. The second blast took place outside the office of Jamiat-Ulema-Islam Pakistan, killing eight and injuring 12. After the incident, an official said that explosives were planted in a motorcycle parked in the area. Immediately after the blast, police, bomb disposal squad and other agencies cordoned off the area and started collecting evidence. Abdullah Zahari, a senior Balochistan police official, said the blast occurred outside Asfaq Khan Kakar's election office.
