Islamabad United won the trophy for a record third time in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024. They defeated Multan Sultans in the final. The PSL title match was played a day after the final of the Women's Premier League (WPL) in India. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) won the WPL by defeating Delhi Capitals. Now it is the turn of the world's biggest T20 league, IPL. Its 17th season will start from March 22.
bad condition of pakistan
These days, Indian fans are comparing the prize money of IPL, WPL and PSL. Pakistan is nowhere between the two leagues of India. His condition seems to be getting worse. Islamabad United, who won the PSL, received 14 crore Pakistani rupees as prize money. If we convert it into Indian Rupees then it is around Rs 4.13 crores. Along with this, the runner-up Multan team has received 5.6 crore Pakistani rupees. In Indian rupees it is only Rs 1.65 crore.
Rs 20 crore to the winner in IPL
Now talking about IPL, Chennai Super Kings, who will become champions in 2023, have received Rs 20 crore. Whereas, Gujarat Titans lost in the final and had to be satisfied with Rs 13 crore. If we compare both of them with PSL, then the reward of IPL seems much ahead.
PSL prize money is less than WPL
The prize money of PSL is not only less than that of IPL but also much less than that of Women's Premier League. This time's champion RCB team has received Rs 6 crore. This is about Rs 1.87 crore more than the amount received by the Islamabad team. At the same time, Delhi Capitals, which lost in the final, got Rs 3 crore. This is almost double the amount received by PSL runners-up Multan.
