Officials of Pakistan's administrative department have denied having knowledge of the existence of the Hindu temple. The system has also claimed that the complex being built on the site of the temple is being built as per the rules. A local person claimed that there was a historical Hindu temple in Kotal Bazaar which was located in the center of Landi Kotal Bazaar. It was closed in 1947 after local Hindu families migrated to India.
This temple was damaged after the Babri incident in Ayodhya.
