Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has shared information regarding the renovation and preparations of the stadiums selected to host the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 matches. PCB said that the ongoing improvement work in the stadiums of Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi will be completed on time. He also clarified that the speculations about snatching the hosting of Champions Trophy from Pakistan are baseless.
Change in hosting of triangular series
PCB has decided to shift the ODI triangular series from Multan to be held in February in Karachi and Lahore. Apart from Pakistan, teams from South Africa and New Zealand will be included in this series. This competition is being organized to prepare for the Champions Trophy.
Preparations in full swing for Champions Trophy
- Improvement work at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium is in the final stages.
- PCB claims that this work will be completed on or around the deadline.
- A total of 15 matches will be played in the tournament between 19 February and 9 March.
Main venues and events
- Venue: Rawalpindi, Lahore and Karachi.
- Opening match: 19 February, Pakistan vs New Zealand in Karachi.
- Semifinals: At Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore.
- Final: March 9, location to be confirmed later.

PCB said,
“Upgrading work at Gaddafi Stadium and National Bank Stadium is going on at a fast pace. The relocation of the tri-series reflects our commitment to preparing these venues and delivering world-class experiences.”
