Pakistan: Bomb blast near school in Balochistan, seven including five school children killed

Islamabad, 1 November (HIST). Seven people, including five schoolchildren and a policeman, were killed in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Pakistan's Balochistan province on Friday. At least 22 other people have been injured in the accident, who have been admitted to nearby hospitals.

According to 'Dawn' newspaper, a massive bomb blast took place near a school located at Civil Hospital Chowk in Mastung district of Balochistan province on Friday morning at 8.35 am. Kalat Division Commissioner Naeem Bazai has been quoted as saying that so far seven people have died in the bomb blast, of which five are school children. 22 people have been injured in the attack, who have been admitted to nearby hospitals. The death toll in the accident is expected to increase. A police vehicle and several auto-rickshaws were damaged in the blast. According to the police officer, there is a possibility of a blast by planting an IED in the bike.

According to the spokesperson of the Provincial Health Department, after this incident, emergency has been declared in all the hospitals of Quetta. Doctors, pharmacists, staff nurses and other medical staff have been called immediately.
