The mastermind of the Pahalgam terror attack, Lashkar-e-Taiba (LET) commander Saifullah Kasuri has come to the fore again. He was seen at a rally in Pakistan. In this rally, he is seen speaking against India. Kasuri shared the stage with Pakistani political leaders and other terrorists. The rally was organized by the Pakistan Markazi Muslim League (PMML). He gave a provocative speech at a rally organized on the anniversary of Pakistan’s nuclear test. Talha Saeed, son of Army Chief Hafiz Saeed, was also present at the rally. He had said at the rally, “I am guilty of being the mastermind of Pahalgam terrorist attack and I have become famous all over the world.” He also announced the construction of a center, road and hospital in the name of ‘Mudassir Shaheed’. According to intelligence sources, Mudassir Ahmed was one of the terrorists killed by the Indian Army at Operation Sindoor.

Saeed contested the 2024 general election from NA-122 seat in Lahore, but lost. He is associated with PMML, which is considered the political face of Lashkar-e-Taiba. In recent weeks, PMML has increased its rhetoric against India. They have staged protests in cities like Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad and Faisalabad. PMML is demanding the release of Hafiz Saeed and the Indus is threatening India on stopping the water treaty.
