New Delhi, 24 February (HS). Host Shyam Lal College will face Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College in the title match of the men's category in the 10th Padmashree Shyam Lal Memorial Hockey Tournament 2024.
In the first semi-final, Shyam Lal College defeated Shyam Lal College Alumni 5-0. Rohit scored three goals, Praveen Munda and Praveen scored one goal each. Man of the match award was given to Rohit of Shyamlal College.
In the other semi-final, Sri Guru Teg Bahadur Khalsa College defeated Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences 4-1.
Pawan Pulkit, Tanuj and Manish scored one goal each for Khalsa College. Farman Ansari scored the only goal for Indira Gandhi Institute. Hockey Man of the Match award was given to Pawan of Khalsa College.
In the women's category, Indira Gandhi Institute of Physical Education and Sports Sciences defeated Syama Prasad Mukherjee College 6-0. Pinky Komal and Shalini scored two goals each. Pinky got the Woman of the Match award in this match.
In another league match, Delhi University Alumni defeated Vivekananda College 6-1. Vidhi and Sonali scored two goals each for the winners, Neelam and Inderpreet Kaur scored one goal each while Sonia scored the only goal for Vivekananda College. Woman of the Match award went to Delhi University Alumni Vidhi.
