Under the Support Price Scheme, a training workshop was organized in the Collectorate Auditorium under the chairmanship of District Magistrate Rajesh Kumar Pandey for the purchase of paddy, jowar and millet in the district in the Kharif marketing year 2024-25. Regarding the purchase of paddy, jowar and millet as per the point wise purchasing policy, the District Food Marketing Officer said that the purchase of paddy, jowar and millet in the district will start from October 1, 2024. Four purchasing centers for paddy, 10 for jowar and 10 for millet have been established in the district.
The procurement target of paddy for the district has been set by the government at 500 MT. All arrangements are complete for the purchase of paddy, jowar and millet at the purchasing centres. Upon arrival, paddy, jowar and millet will be purchased as per rules. District Agriculture Officer, District Informatics Officer, Jalaun, Manager (G.N.) Food Corporation of India, Orai, Senior Inspector, Legal Department, Momp Science, Jalaun and all the market secretaries were informed about the points related to their department. Additional District Magistrate (Finance and Revenue)/District Procurement Officer Sanjay Kumar has asked all the market secretaries to give wide publicity to the farmers for selling paddy, jowar and millet under the support price scheme in the Kharif marketing year 2024-25 and to purchase from the farmers. Instructions were given to make arrangements for crates and tarpaulin to protect paddy, jowar and millet from rain etc.
