Mirzapur, 27 July (HS). The district administration has started preparations for paddy procurement. Procurement will start from November 1. A portal has been started for registration of farmers.
District Food Marketing Officer Sanjeev Singh said on Saturday that the procurement will start from November 1 and will continue till February 28. Farmers will have to register on the departmental portal to sell their produce. The system of OTP based registration has started. Farmers should register as per the name mentioned in Khatauni, bank passbook and Aadhar.
He informed that farmers who have already registered for paddy and wheat do not need to register again, but the registration will have to be amended and locked. He said that at the time of registration farmers will have to provide computerized photocopy of the Khatauni details of their land, photo identity card, photocopy of the first page of the bank passbook, Aadhar and the mobile number mentioned in it. This time farmers will be paid the minimum support price of paddy at the rate of Rs. 2300 per quintal for general paddy and Rs. 2320 per quintal for grade-A paddy.
