Araria 29 November (Hindu). Voters are exercising their franchise in tax elections in 21 panchayats of Forbesganj block of the district and two panchayats of Kursakanta block on Friday.
Extensive security arrangements have been made for the elections. Police officers and forces as well as magistrates have been deputed at polling stations. Since morning, voters were seen voting for the election of their PACS president and members at various polling stations.
Tax elections are being held in Itihas Panchayat of Forbesganj block for which 90 polling stations have been made where 56 thousand 492 voters will exercise their franchise. For fearless and fair voting, the elections of Forbesganj block have been divided into 7 sectors. Magistrate as well as police officers and forces are appointed in each sector.
Elections are being conducted by dividing them into three zones and 28 PCPPs. There is a deputation of magistrates along with police officers and forces at all the polling stations.
Elections are being held at eight polling stations in Kamaldaha and Kuadi Panchayat of Kursakanta block. 3 thousand 485 voters in Kamaldaha Panchayat and 1 thousand 574 voters in Kuadi Panchayat will exercise their franchise to elect PACS president and members.
