After the demise of former Deputy Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Modi, when his mortal remains reached the Assembly premises on Tuesday, Purnia's outgoing MP Santosh Kushwaha paid an emotional tribute to him by garlanding his mortal remains. On this occasion, Assembly Speaker Nand Kishore Yadav and a large number of various political leaders were present. Party leaders, MPs and MLAs were present.
On the occasion, outgoing MP Shri Kushwaha, remembering the past days, described Late Modi as his guardian and said that when he became MLA for the first time in the year 2010, he always received filial affection from him. When he became seriously ill in the year 2012, So he got me treated under his supervision like a father. Every fiber of my being is indebted to him. This is an irreparable loss for me which may never be possible to compensate.
Kushwaha said that an era has ended in the politics of Bihar and the absence of the political fakir will always be felt. On this occasion, MLA Kavita Paswan, MLA Vijay Khemka, BJP leader Vinod Yadav etc. were present.
