Chinese President mentioned CPEC
While congratulating Asif Ali Zardari, Xi Jinping also mentioned the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor. He said that the construction of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is going on at a fast pace. CPEC is important for the development of bilateral relations.
In particular, India has objected to the $60 billion US CPEC linking China's Xinjiang with Balochistan's Gwadar port as it passes through Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).
