Organization of lecture on the topic Breaking Barriers and Building the Future

East Champaran, October 26 (HS). A special guest lecture was organized by the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) and Gender Sensitization Cell (GSC) of Mahatma Gandhi Central University. On this occasion, Dr. Shikha Singh, Director of Research, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, Lucknow, delivered a lecture on the topic Women in STEM: Breaking Barriers and Building the Future.

Highlighting the challenges faced by women in the field of science and technology, she inspired the students not to be discouraged by any obstacle and to continuously strive towards success. Besides, Dr. Singh also gave information about various government schemes available for girl students studying science. The Chairperson of ICC, Prof. Shahana Majumdar, while addressing the students in the welcome speech, said that the aim of the university is to create a safe environment where every student can achieve his or her best goals.

After this, GSC President, Dr. Sapna Sugandha informed the newly admitted girl students about the various legal protections available for the safety of women in India and inspired them to become self-reliant and empowered. The program concluded with Dr. Manisha Rani, GSC President. It was accompanied by a vote of thanks, in which he expressed the hope that in the future women will be able to live a life free from fear and inequality.

Students of Science Faculty as well as members and teachers of ICC and GSC were present in the program.
