Forbesganj/Araria, 3 December (Hindustan Reporter). Today, on the occasion of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, an awareness cum honor ceremony for persons with disabilities was organized at Buniyad Center Araria. In the programme, various types of competitions were organized among the disabled persons and the winners were awarded to the disabled persons. Besides, the disabled people working in the field of disability were also honoured. Along with this, information about various schemes run by District Disabled Empowerment Cell, Araria was provided to the disabled people present.
In the programme, disabled people were also given an opportunity to present their views before everyone. In this sequence, all the officials present assured to provide all possible support to their problems. In the programme, tricycles, wheelchairs and crutches were also distributed to the beneficiaries with disabilities. On the occasion, Civil Surgeon Araria, Assistant Director District Disability Empowerment Cell Araria, Assistant Director Social Security Cell Araria, District Program Officer ICDS Araria, District Manager Buniyad Kendra and a large number of persons with disabilities were present.
