Udaipur, 1 October (Hindustan Reporter). Another woman became victim of leopard in Gogunda police station area. The woman died on the spot in the attack that took place on Tuesday morning. The villagers made noise and chased away the running leopard that had grabbed the woman's neck in its jaws. A priest was also killed by the leopard at some distance away. After this attack, Chief Forest Conservator Pawan Kumar Upadhyay, who was on Gogunda tour, said that orders have been issued to shoot the man-eating leopard on sight.

Eight people have died in separate attacks in the last 12 days. During this period, the Forest Department has caught four leopards by placing cages, but the attacks are not stopping. Angered by the incident, the villagers tried to block the National Highway-27, after the advice of SP Yogesh Goyal, the anger of the villagers calmed down, however, the villagers are not allowing the dead body of the woman to be taken away. At the same time, Forest Minister Sanjay Sharma has claimed that with the help of the Army, the leopard will be killed by this evening. According to the information, the accident took place at 8 am on Tuesday morning in Kelvo's Kheda village. Here Kamla Kunwar (55) was working in the courtyard of her house. During this the leopard attacked him. Hearing the screams of the woman, other family members ran outside and the leopard ran away leaving her dead body. The leopard had dragged the woman 100 meters from the house. The woman's house is on a hill, there are no houses nearby. There is an animal enclosure behind the house. A woman was working there when the leopard attacked. The family said that the woman's neck was in the jaws of the leopard. He died on the spot due to a deep wound in his neck.

A day earlier also, a leopard had killed the temple priest Vishnu Giri (65) at night in Rathod Ka Guda of Bargaon police station area. The leopard dragged the priest to a field 150 feet away. Kelvon ka Kheda village is about one km away from Rathod ka Guda. In such a situation, there is a possibility that the leopard which killed the priest might have attacked the woman. Here, there is an atmosphere of panic in the village after the death of two people including a woman by Leopard in two days.

There is no movement of any leopard after taking the lives of two including a child in Jhadol.

According to Minister Sanjay Sharma, it has been decided in the meeting of officials that the Forest Department team with the help of Army and local police will kill the man-eating leopard. The place where he hunted on Tuesday will be marked and the area will be cordoned off. Leopard is not only hunting people but also mutilating the dead bodies. He has become a man-eater. After attacking, the leopard moves about 3 kilometers and then hunts for a new prey. Hopefully, the man-eating leopard will come to an end by this evening. More than a dozen teams of the forest department are preparing to shoot the leopard in the forest of Kelvon Ka Kheda village. There are also drummers with the team who will make the leopard run by playing drums in the forest. This will be done so that the shooter can shoot it. Before killing the leopard, its correct identity will be ensured. The report in this regard will be given to the committee and Chief Wildlife Warden Rajasthan.
